From 2014 Franzen Landbouw has used its own processing line for potatoes, onions and carrots. Aside from the processing facility there is also a cold store for boxes and a bulk store. A washing plant for carrots and potatoes ensures that, with high capacity, only clean products are processed. A drying system, utilising felt cloths, rapidly dries the produce for further processing. The washing plant houses a separating-system which sorts different varieties or lots. This allows us to separately process crops from different producers without wasting time.

Packaging possibilities
Potatoes and onions are stored in bulk before being graded and packed. Produce can be delivered in bulk or packaged. Many different types and sizes of packages are available. Products can also be delivered as field crops in all conventional sizes. Packaging sizes vary from 1 kg to 20 kg. Foil packs, hessian sacks or net sacks are used. Big bags in sizes up to 1,100 kg are another possibility.
